Rocker Panel Installation

I'm installing rocker panels on my 07 Silverado Crew Cab and just wanted to fish around for some different ways anyone may have installed theirs. I'm mainly looking for techniques to help level the panels to prevent putting them on crooked since I only get one shot at it.

Sorry maybe I should clarify, I'm installing stainless steel rocker panels, not replacing anything.

Then take a tape measure and make two dots below your molding at the position you want the top of the stainless at. Then when you stick it on, make sure the top lines up with both dots and you'll be set.

I won't be able to do that on the whole body, the molding doesn't go along the entire truck.

Ehhhh, true. I guees you could always go old school and run a chalk line. Before you snap it, pull it tight and measure it in two places, make sure it's the same height. Then it will be straight and chalk will wipe right off.
