Question About Shuffle Function

I'm trying to figure out whether or not I can go to a folder (in my flash drive) & "shuffle" the contents to play. What I want to do is select a genre folder, then randomly play all the songs in that folder. However, all I seem to be able to do is go to "Rock" > "Pink Floyd" > "Dark Side Of The Moon" (1st album in folder) > "Speak To Me" (1st track on album). All the songs of the album are played, then progresses to the next album in the folder.

 

The manual describes the Shuffle Functionality & the different keys on page 7-37, but I only see the shuffle choices when the USB device is 1st recognised. As soon as I go thru the folders, I lose the shuffle choices on the display.
