Dome light doesn't come on when you open the door?

I just bought a '95 Z and I searched the forums but didn't find anything helpful on this subject. My dad's '97 Tahoe does the same thing. I've checked all the fuses, even the ones under the hood, but it won't come on. They will come on when you turn the switch, but not with an open door. Please help.

I don't think mine has that. I'll double check, but if it doesn't, then what? btw, that means that the Tahoe is supposed to have that button too? I'll look, but I don't remember seeing anything like that. ???

I tired that just now, and it didn't do anything. I wonder if it's broke or something. I dunno, I guess I'll keep trying. I don't know what else it'd be, it'd have to be something with the override, right?
