Hello.

Wife traded my 2010 F-150 FX4 in on me while she was car shopping for herself and was driving my truck that day and i was still at work (she got herself an Acadia), no worries I was ok with the idea if they gave us a good enough deal... which they did. Enjoyed the F150, although we had our own minor complaints.

Now have a 2011 Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4 Crew Cab in Black. Impressed with how smooth it rides over the Ford and how much more comfortable it is driving. Easier to see out of the vehicle all around and I am happy with the switch.

Here to learn some about the Truck and minor things to do. Not looking to lift it to high or do anything extreme with it. Before the F150 I had a 2004 Jeep Rubicon that I had a 6in Long Arm Suspension Lift, 36in IROKs, Full Roll Cage, built for Rock Crawling. I am past the need to have a lifted vehicle for more then just everyday driving.

No Mods done yet to the truck besides the dealer done tint, just about a month old. Looking at getting the bed lined, leveling kit, intake, and maybe exhaust. Want to keep it the truck simple.... I want to replace the grill, looks like chrome chicken wire, wish it was black.

From Texas transplanted here from Florida.

nice truck! what didnt you like about the F150?

Thanks All!

The F150 was a nice truck. We didnt like how many blind spots there were. I got the truck while deployed and didnt really test drive the 2010 model, drove earlier models. There are a couple of blind spots looking to the rear from the rear seat head rest, the rear pilers created more blind spots. The Truck that they found for me had the towing package with the towing mirrors... at first i thought they were ok but again just HUGH, my wife hated parking the truck since they were just too big and didnt fold automatically like the F250 trucks mirrors. It was the FX4 so it had different suspension then the other trucks but it rode to me like a work truck. Easier to get access the Bed of the truck in the Sierra, ie the sides of the truck dont seem as high.

Now even though we had our complaint about the truck there was a lot of stuff that i did like about the truck. IE the keypad on the door, i could lock the keys in the truck and not worry about being locked out. Awesome when i went running on some trails or biking. all the other things that the Ford had i have in the Sierra so it equals out. The ride height of the Ford seemed higher then the GMC but not that big of an issue for me, but makes it a whole lot easier for the wife to get in and out of.
