Tire Size

Was just next to another Sierra at a red light. had Pro Comp 305/65/17 tires on it. Had a t least a level kit and I am wondering if that is all it had to fit those tires. Didn't look too lifted but just right for what I want mine to look. will those tires fit ok with just an RC 2" level?

I saw some new Sierra's on a dealers lot with BDGs in those size on a new Sierra. it looked like they had a quick lift installed as I couldn't see if it was a Rough Country level lift or what.

i want to lift mine a little to get the "look". just want to know what the best tire combo and level /lift. THat one looked really good

A good deal of trimming would be required. But to answer the question simply, no they won't "fit" with a 2" leveling kit.

what else would that truck have had to fit those tires? didn't look very lifted. would the level and a 1.5 BL do it. Again I don't need tires that big but that truck looked great. Mine is stock still and want to do something to make it look a little tougher. Mine is the mamby pamby grocery getter mentioned in another thread but I would still like to make it look better

There really is no way of knowing. Was he on the factory wheels? He could have had a 2-2.5" leveling kit with factory wheels and cut metal/plastic out of the fenders to clear them. He could've had some form of a 3" lift, or maybe even a 3" body + leveling kit (which doesn't look much bigger than a cranked HD). :(

thanks yeah it looked even smaller than an HD but was on the factory 17's and was leveled for sure. Looked a little taller than my stock set up. I think I am probably going to start with an RC level and see and then later maybe do a small body lift. don't need much just want different than stock

I have seen 275/65/20 on factory 20s fit with a leveling kit. Thats a 34x11.00. You can fit bigger tires on the stock wheels becuase of their offset. As long as the 305s don't rub the UCA I think they will fit with little too no rub.

If you decide on aftermarket wheels with bigger offset there is no way the tires will fit without more lift.

305/50/20 (close to 305/65/17) rubs with a levelling kit. I cant see this not rubbing (even on stock rims). Width kills on these trucks....

285/55/20 or 32.4 / 1150 / 20 was the widest could fit with only a levelling kit on stock 20's... just as a reference.
