1995 Gmc Tranny Problems

Hi, i hope this works I got a 1995 GMC Z71 and am having an problem i never faced yet. I took my truck out onto the highway and it shifted 1st 2nd and no 3rd. It hits about 55km at 3000 rpm's and goes no where after that, just stutters. It's a auto, 5.7 L , 4x4, and i still love my truck. Would anyone have a suggestion to this problem if you got free time to write. I thank you in advance. Merry Christmas

ive seen this a thousand times including my 93 when i got it,

 

the 3-4 clutch has taken a crap,

 

you can get it rebuilt ,another option is a GM SRTA (Service Replacment Transmission Assembly) pronounced "serta",they come with a 3 yr warranty,

 

the cooler gets flushed and the flow rate thru the cooler is recorded for warranty purposes,

 

i got 1 before i left the general,warranty is up in july lol,

 

it is a no brainer

 

 

having yours rebuilt has a 1 yr warranty

Sorry to sound retarded lol But what would the 3-4 clutch mean? Like how would i ask for it to be installed or order it so i could get it and put it in? Sorry this is a new problem for me so i am very shiney brand new ;) Thanks in advance Chris

this job is not for a DIY ,it needs a rebuild or a replacement ,nothing you can do unless you are a tranny guy !
