the hummers are built in south bend indiana.  I missed a trip up there with an engineering group trip.  I gotta talk to the guy about going again so i can go

Hey mervz do you have any contacts who could arrange a tour for a bunch of mechanical engineering students at a plant in fort wayne indiana or michigan?  Our society ASME is looking to go on some trips

what kind of coverage did you do?  Did you get to go for a test drive?

Unfourunatly, we have not yet driven it. These are all offical GM pictures. We will be releasing all of the specs, and pictures tonight.

Did I read right that it has a variable ride height?  Any specs on that?

I'm glad to see that there are about 100 new pics, I was hoping that it wouldn't be what I've seen in all of the magazines in the past few months.  These shots are much better.

Thanks Mervz

Yes, it has variable ride height. Mainly, when you select 4X4 low-locked-rear-locked, it will raise the vehicle up to gain ground clearance.

If there wasn't anything new for pictures, we wouldn't have made a big deal about it.

Thanks for the info Mervz.

Is it just me or does the H2 look like the product of the Hummer and Suburban.  I realize it's on the suburban frame, but it also has a lot of the suburban style.  Look at this pic:

The black slots look like the sub and the tail lights too, just re-defined.  I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just something I noticed.  These were the first rear shots of it I've seen.

Also, I've seen the funkyskid plate from far off shots and had no idea that it said H2 on it.  Now that I see that it looks less stupid.  Before I thought it had some weird techno design.
