2003 Gmc Yukon Changes! Need Opinions!

Ok heres what i got:

2003 GMC Yukon. Carbon (Dark Metallic Gray like Charcoal)

with size 285 tires on it. with Alba wheels. and Magnaflow exhaust system.

Heres what i wanna do:

- Since the engine brings the front down a lil, i wanna lift the front to be a lil higher than the back. how much of a lift should i put on it? and whats the best way to do that?

- 18-20 inch XD Racing "Hoss" black wheels

- What would look good with those wheels? when it comes to tires? and could i go with 305's? or stick to 285's?

- Billet grill or mesh? polished chrome or black?

- HID lights: 6000k or 8000k?

- Smoked out tail lights

- would you take off or paint the chrome trim(s) black or same color as car?

basically im asking if you were me, what mods would you do to this Yukon?

I've seen fronts higher than backs and don't like it. Level would look great. Imo skip the mesh or bil grille and color match the one you have. Have fun with it!

*on an 03 you can just crank the torsion bars, but I wouldn't go past level.

*wheels and tires are all in the eye of the beholder. You haven't mentioned what "look" you are going for, so that can change things.

*grilles can also vary, depending on the style you are looking to go with, personally I prefer billet bars vs. mesh

*don't do HID lights in the 03 Tahoe light housings. They do not focus at all. And if you actually wanted lights that help with your night vision you can forget about the 8,000k, the 6,000k aren't too bad but I personally like the 5,000K - but like I said, it won't focus in the stock housings on your vehicle, you'll only accomplish blinding people.

*smoked tail lights are great - if you like your vehicle to not meet safety specifications, you need the built in red reflectors on the rear of the vehicle bright and visible to be legal.

I have an 05 Sierra and put a leveling kit on it. All it consisted of was replacing the existing torsion keys and it brought it right up. I would recommend going level then seeing if you want it to bring it up further. My brother in law has 295 Nitto Terra Grapplers. They are fairly quiet and look good. I dig your wheel choice those are sick. IMO dont go with 20's if you want an off road look 18's would look great. I completely agree with color matching your grill that would look good as well. Also a sport bar on the front would look good. Hope this helps. Good luck

Thanks man. Im going for the off road look with style though. I think 20's would look sick. How about your opinion on HID's?

This is my 05 Yukon Denali, has the 20" Gforces with Goodyear tires. I put the DDM Apexcone HID 5000k kit also in the stock projectors, not bad output, good cutoff. Im looking to smoke the rear tails also.

I have only had my truck a few months and am looking to do a few upgrades when the budget allows and I have considered the HID's. I have not used before and would like to take a look. On the tail covers or smoked tail lights I think look real good. I will think on more stuff that may make it look good. good luck

The 20's would look good. Are you looking for that look like the post above? Or are you looking for a more off road look? I like the way 20's look but just dont think they are very off road. But like you said you are kind of going for an off road look with style.
