CapnDean Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 5 acid burns on my concrete can't figure it out. The battery looks fine, but the spots are right below where the battery would drip if it were leaking. I took the truck into the Chevy dealer (across the street from my job)...and there it is.....DEFECTIVE battery! Leaking acid from the positive terminal. Truck is 2001 with 23K miles. How about that? That's one of those warranty things that I don't mind a bit.... I figure a battery is gonna last maybe 4 years or so.... So...if I get to start fresh at 2 years, I am a leg up on em!
GreenRado Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 I lost a battery on my Alero w/ about that number of miles - it would crank exactly normal one minute, then be deader than a door nail the next! Go figure. I agree, I like those warranty replacements!
