Subs Help

First off I have an extended cab and I'm wondering what is the best sub combo to run. I listen to techno and hip hop so I like the range of bass. I've always had my 2 12in kicker subs in my cars but now that I have a truck I'm thinkin that will be too powerful. I'm wondering do I put 1 of them in and like an 8in sub too? Or what kind of set ups ado you guys have?

i have two 10 inch sony shallow mount subs, they are 1200 watt. i bought one large sony 1100 watt amp. that way i will never blow the subs or wreck anything. i bought two cheap shallow sub boxes. the subs fit perfectly under the seats and the amp fits between the subs on the hump in the middle of the floor. it is a perfect setup. and they pound hard. i have them turned down alot. call me old fashion but i like to hear the lyrics. my friend actually has his subs play voice out of his subs so im trying to get my subs to do that. i listen to everything. so far i love them

i think you would like my setup.

I vote for two 10s. Unless you go with the square Kickers. Then Ide say you could get my with 8s. I had 2 square 8s in my CC GMC, and they put out some pretty good sound. Didnt really thump hard, but put out good bass.

I wouldn't go less than 2 10's...with that being said to much is better than not enough

perfectly said. you can always turn them down but not up. i wouldn't go anything smaller then 8's.
