4l60e Help

Hello, I am having some truck trouble and am hoping there is somene out there who can help. I have a 1998 chev 2wd with a 4l60e. My tranny seemed to be fine until going out to pass someone or trying to accelerate up a hill. When going to pass the transmission seems to kick down but then seems to slip, when going up a hill it seems to shift down all right as long as you dont really put your foot into it. If you put your foot into it then it seems to kick down and starts to slip. This is where the problem gets rather interesting. I bought a used tranny and torque and installed it. The used transmission has the exact same symptom. Can this be a problem from some other component in the truck or just a really big coinsidence. The only thing I used from my old transmission was the wiring harness from the valve body which has the TCC valve attatched to it

That does not mean you do not have a code. Check engine light does not reflect trans problems. Get the codes pulled, cheap way is to borrow the auto stores trhat have loaner programs code scanner. Report back with findings.
