2003 Tahoe Shutting Off

Hi,

 

I just replaced my alternator in my 03 Tahoe Lt yesterday afternoon. Last night when I was driving to the gas station as I was pulling into the driveway the tahoe just turned off. All of the lights were on and the truck just died on me. I started the truck back up and when pulling into the parking spot the tahoe turned off again. I was able to park and sat there for a minute frustrated before starting the truck again. I was able to start the truck and sat there in park for a few minutes and the truck stayed on. I decided to try and make it home. I left the gas station and as I was pulling into the turning lane, I slowed down to stop and it turned off again. I waited until the light turned green and started up again and took off. Well I made it home and as I was pulling into my driveway I slowed down and it turned off again. I don't have a problem while driving at a normal rate of speed but when slowing down it just turns off. A relative suggested I put in fuel injector cleaner. I was also told by someone else that maybe it is an electrical wire that is loose or whatever. Do you have any suggestions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your loosing fuel pressure, slowing down might move some wire and cut the pump off or something.

check the wires around the alt. make sure they are not loose
