Frirst Fill With 6.2

Recommended Posts

OK I have my new silverado for about a week and half now, and I love it, filled it with gas checked the mileage and I got 13.8 MPG, not great but I can live with it , I am glad I got 6.2, 373s and max tow package , what made my mind up to go with this truck was I had a silverado 5.3 and 410s , and I test dove a few 5.3 342s and thats what did it , glad I got this truck.

Nice truck! I bought my Sierra 6.2L the last week of December and just filled up with my 4th tank. My first (on the 87 octane that the dealer filled it up with) got me 14.6 mpg. I just got back from a little road trip from Branson, MO to Little Rock, AR and my DIC showed 19.9mpg avg. That was with some hyper-mileing techniques on 91 octane and 95% hwy driving. I always check my mileage when I fill up and my DIC is between 0-.2 mpg off from what I show with a calculator, so it's fairly accurate. It will get better as it breaks in... as long as you can keep a light foot.
