New Mirrors On My 1500c

Hello,

 

I broke my passenger side mirror on my 2002 GMC Sierra 1500C SLE.

 

The truck has actually non heated power mirrors.

 

Do heated power mirrors fit my truck by plug and play or do I need special wiring?

 

The 2003 mirrors have turn signals inside the glass, do they also fit my older truck?

 

 

 

As I am in Germany I could not ask a chevy dealer/garage trucks are not sold here.

I don't believe they will be plug and play. However if you run a couple wires into the doors, I'm sure you could make them work if thats what your after. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

The only mirrors that will be plug & play are direct replacements of the same model.

 

'99-02 trucks had a different wiring system than updated '03-07 trucks, including items like the mirrors and so forth with signals in them.

 

You can make newer mirrors work, of course, but will need to do custom wiring.

Yeah, the only wwiring you'll have at your mirror is power adjust and a wire for a mirror with a puddle lamp. It will not have a turn signal wire, power fold wires, heat, etc.

it might be plug in play since the factory ones are taped into the rear defrost button. i know there was a topic on this not to long ago. check out the search bar. i know there are a lots of mirror topics that could help you
