GM V-6 supercharger

I realize that this does not pertain to trucks, but I checked gm-cars.com before posting this message and you guys seem to be a little more technically oriented. My wife's car is a '96 Buick Riviera with the supercharged 3.8 liter V-6. I recently saw a post on some other site referring to changing the oil in the supercharger. Has anyone seen anything on this or can you direct me to some info on it?

I was under the impression that the Eaton Supercharger used the engine oil as it's primary source of lubrication for ease of maintanaince purposes.  Perhaps Chevy4x4Trucks knows, he has a GTP.

 

I've never worked on a Supercharged Series 3800. I wish the G/F would buy one so that I could.

It has its own oil, I don't know anymore than that.

Yea, I was talking to a GTP owner last night on AIM.  He said it's simply "Supercharger oil".    Pretty obvious, huh?
