87 7.4 Tbi Bad Start And Won't Idle

I was driving around and my engine stalled at a light. I had a hard time restarting it and when I did I had to keep pumping on the gas pedal to get it going anywhere. It smells like its running too rich, but all cylinders are firing. The only thing new on this engine is the intake and the smog pump was removed. Like I said it was running fine for about 300 miles and then it stalled. I get back pressure through the tbi when it stalls. The intake bolts are all at correct torque and I used silicon on the front and rear instead of that cheap rubber deal that came with the intake. The intake is an edelbrock performer series special for bbc tbi applications. It sounds like its sucking like a clogged vacuum when I rev it. Any ideas? The truck is stuck in Phoenix and I'm in Albuquerque. I just want a game plan before I try and repair it for the drive hear.
