Dinging Doesnt Stop

Twice now my warning bell has sounded after I get out of the truck. I shut off ignition, turned off parking lights, then took key out and it dings until I turn the key to run. Weird eh?

Did you by any chance press the lock button for the doors during any of that? That has happened to me quite a few times in the last few months. If I wait a couple seconds after I take the key out of the ignition before I hit the lock button, it's ok. Happened on my wifes Acadia the other week too.

I get that occasionally too. I don't know what the deal is. I just have to walk away with it dinging.

mine's done that twice, not really sure what triggered it. It's not the same ding as when you press the lock button, it's continuous like you left the keys in the ignition instead of "3 chimes" I just get aggravated and turn the key on and off and it shuts up.

Thats the dinging I'm talking about. It happens when you press the lock button at about the same time you pull the key out of the igniton. I think it makes a ding when you pull the key out and if you press the lock button during that ding, it constantly dings.

Hmmm. I could have accidentally hit lock. Ill test it in the morning..
