08 Sierra Horn Honking

I was getting out of my truck today to pump gas. I left the keys in the ignition and shut the door, then immediatley the horn honked about 5 or 6 times until I was able to get back in and turn the ignition to power. Any ideas what it could be or what could have caused it?

funny you post this. yesterday I went out to start the truck, same modle and year, and the horn honked twice and the left turn light in my mirror stayed on. I shut the truck off and restarted and everything was fine. tonite I turned the truck off after getting home and the horn sounded twice.

Sounds like the security system started going off for some reason.

Dumb question but is this a function to alert you that the keys are still in the ignition? Were they full horn blasts like when the alarm goes off or were they short?
