Front License Plate Bracket

Recommended Posts

I just purchased an 2011 GMC Denali pickup last night and the dealer had put on a front license plate bracket. I was going to take it off but it is riveted. Did they drill holes to mount this or are there holes in there from the factory? I didn't want to take it off and there be holes in the bumper and then I wouldn't be able to put it back on to cover up the holes. Thanks in advance for any info!!

Mine was on with plastic rivets that I was able to drill the heads of off to remove. It leaves two small holes but mine is not noticeable. You can order the pack of rivets from the dealer to reinstall the bracket if you ever need to.

on my Sierra there was just two screws into the lower airdam, barely noticeable and better than the plate frame

My SD didn't come from the factory with a front plate holder. The dealer gave me one then had me sign a form that said I was given one and declined to have it installed. ( 'cause state law says that I must have one, but I haven't had anyone stop me and tell me to put it on since I got my truck in April of 2007)

Mine has 5 rivets in it! Anyone with a Denali take theirs off ? If the rivets were in the black area and not the chrome they probably wouldn't show.
