Service Air Bag Came On.

Good question. My '05 Yukon Denali airbag light came on like 2 months ago. I have yet to take it to my shop (not a dealer). I'm not planning on getting it addressed for probaly another 2 months.

Most of the searches for 'airbag light' here say it's usually a sensor mounted in the bumper or the one mounted in your seat. The airbag light was on in my 2005 Silverado for about three months, then it somehow 'healed' itself and the light has been off for over a month now. Good luck.

Had this warning when truck was 2 months old...dealer checked it and it was something with the connector in the B-pillar drivers site...mine is a 2010 built in April in Mexico....seems like GM has an issue with that since a few people here have the same problem and that are just the users of this forum...imagine how many it might be out there

got in the truck this morning to go to work and it was off! and 2 months ago the ses light came on and it was the crank sensor and the knock sensor codes and the next day they went off, strange.

Ever since the last snow storm we had in New Jersey my Service Air Bag message has come and gone 3 times now. The last time it went on i shut off the ignition, re-started the truck and it went off. That was this past Sunday, hasn't happened since.

Is there anything that can be done short of taking it in to the dealer or a shop ?
