Heater Want Go Off

Howdy

I have a new model o7 gmc wt. My heater want turn off you can play with the knob a it will go off for a little bit but comes right back on

How can you get the switch out

not the switch ,its the resister above the passengers feet and also a possible melted connector at the resistor ,very common,do a search

 

inspect first of course or have it diag;d at a shop
