Lift Recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations for a lift on my 2000 NBS Tahoe. It's not 4WD and does not have the autoride. Ultimately, I'm just looking to get about 4" of lift total. I'm currently running 265/75/16 BFG AT's with very slight rub at full turn. That would come out to just under 32's. All I really want is to be able to do is run 33's and have a little higher and level stance. I definitely have a little sag on the front end compared to when it was new.

I don't mind a body lift, but I don't really want to go with a 3" BL. I'm not sure if they even make a 2" BL. I'm thinking of some combination of leveling kit and body lift.

Would a leveling kit lift the rear end at all?

i think leveling kits are to level the front to the rear.. meaning no lift on the rear... i think if you put a leveling kit in the front and then depending on how it sits lift the rear just a little bit.. you'll be able to clear 33's with no problem and it will look great without compromising the way it drives....

Thanks for the input. After doing a lot of reading it seems like I can just crank the torsion bars to level it out. I took some quick measurements yesterday and the rear sits about 1 - 1 1/2 inches higher than the front. I was thinking I could put some 1" coil spacers in the rear and lift the front 2 1/2".

Here is my question...do the re-indexed keys affect the rids at all? I'm reading conflicting information. Some say that just cranking the t-bars will create a really stiff ride and adding the re-indexed keys will soften it up. Other say that all the keys do is allow you to crank the t-bars a little more.

Is 2 1/2" too much to crank the t-bars?

I've seen the Rough Country and Ready Lift leveling kits. What I'm trying to figure out is if the torsion keys are necessary.

In other words, will replacing the torsion keys keep the front end geometry closer to stock than just turning the t-bars?

i had torsion keys (leveling kit) in a 01 f150... before installing the keys.. i cranked the torsion bars... it gave me the lift but it was stiff as hell... then installed the keys and had the same height as i did with the bars cranked but very soft ride... what it does is it relocates the torsion bar in a way that with the leveling kit the minimum height (softest) actually is the highest or what we know as "cranking the bars" with the stock keys (stiff ride)... so you wont get more height with the leveling kit than cranking the bars! but you'll get better ride quality...

oohh but be careful! you CAN crank your bars with the leveling keys! and it will go up another 2-3in but this will cause you to mess everything up! ball joints, cv joints, shocks, everything you can think of :P trust me! leveling torsion keys are designed and assure you no damage and great ride quality as long as you dont crank the bars!

That's the information I was looking for.

I really like that RC leveling kit. It comes with shocks, keys and poly coil spacers for only $260. The only thing is that it says it's for a 4wd. They don't list one for a 2wd. I don't see what the difference would be.

Anyone here have any opinions on this lift and whether it will also work on a 2wd?
