Front Diff Size

I have a 2010 C/C 1500 Z71 With a 5.3. I'm changing my gears to 4.88's. My question is what size is the ring gear in the front. The rear is 8.5" I believe. I have 3.42's and with 35's it's a dog.

I believe 8.25", but I'm not positive. Are you set on 4.88's? that sure seems a little bit overkill, not to mention the hit your mileage will take. I'm not saying its bad, and I don't have much experience in that area, but it just seems like an awful big jump

I checked the ratio table at www.4lo.com and your right. I'm going with 4.56's. At 65 MPH with 35's I'll turn 2845 RPM's. These 3.42's are killing me. Thanks for pointing that out.
