01 Tahoe Left Front Axle Oil Seal Replacement

I have a 2001 Tahoe and need to replace the oil seal on the left front axle. How do you remove the flange to gain access to the seal? I don't see any internal clips, locks etc to prevent this from being pulled out without disassembling the case.

Real easy to do

 

Unbolt the 6 axle shaft bolts

 

drop the left front axle down,out of the way

 

tap the left axle shaft with a hammer. it is held in place witch a small c-clip

 

after you replace the seal, tap the axle shaft back into the front diff with the same hammer

 

reassemble. top up front diff fluid.
