Dimming Dash

My 05 1500 Sierra’s PRND321 is dim and hard to read sometimes, also the 2wd button is out. Is this common, and easy to repair? Thanks in advance.

That portion of the IP cluster has problems on some trucks. Some go completely out. The LED display can be replaced by anyone who does cluster repairs. You can probably do it yourself if you can source the part. Switch- exactly what do you mean? Is the light out or is the switch not working?

I used to have an '04 and mine quit working. What I did was take the switch out and on the back the board is "cold sauter<SP?>" together. I took some sauter and just redid all the connections and it was fixed. After about two months the back light went out but the light that activated the 4x4 still lit up.
