Need Box/sub Setup Suggestions

So I am considering adding a little bump to the truck.

I am planning on using either a dual 10'' downfire subthump box that goes under the rear

or i am thinking i could use a single 12'' downfire subthump box.

I already have an MTX Thunder 5601 amp which is about 600 RMS.

So I am looking at 1 12'' Alpine Type R Subwoofer

or

2 Rockford Fosgate 10'' P2D210 Punch woofers

The other option that I am not sure if i want to do or not is run the subthump dual 12'' downfire box.

I could run 2 12'' Rockford Fosgate P2D12 woofers.

I would like some input on which setup you think is worth my time and effort.

Price really isnt that much of an issue because all of the different setups i have mentioned are around the same cost

Box 99-169

subs 89-159 each

so i just want input on the sub/box setup.

thanks

Fred

i use to run one 12" sub didnt like it much. I run two kenwood tens under my back seat with a 500w alpine amp. I have no complaints. It can really rattle the truck

I have 2 10" JL subs in a JL Stealthbox powered by a 500 watt JL amp and it really pounds! I highly suggest it if you want to be heard driving down the street. And the Stealthbox leaves the passenger side open.

Before you buy anything I would check out this website....

www.pwkdesigns.com

Pete designs sub-boxes for specific sub performance characteristics. The results will blow you away. Just watch some of the videos he has. When he completes my design I will have a single 10 in center console (custom design to replace factory center), but I promise you that single @ 200 watts will blow away any PAIR of 10's or 12's you would mount in an under rear-seat enclosure. Don't believe it? Watch the videos and you will become a believer...
