Xm/on Star Antenna

Recommended Posts

Have a leak on the driver side. Where the sunvisor is mounted feels wet. Snooped around and the XM/On star antenna is loose. What is the easiest way to get to it to tighten it? This is a 2007 Yukon

what were you doing snooping around there ? FROM THE OUTSIDE take a screw driver, put a cloth shirt over it, and pry the antanna off with the screw driver..

The cloth will keep you from scratching the paint. Yes this is the only way to get it off... its some kind of anhesive, you have to remove it, re-adhesive it on, and it will stop leaking

If it's the same as my old 08 Silverado, You'll need to drop the headliner at the front and there are 2 or 3 nuts ( I believe, not screws) to tighten. I had to change mine out after the fin broke off at the car wash.

DO NOT DO THIS, YOU WILL DESTROY THE ANTENNA, IT IS NOT STUCK ON!

You will need to drop the visor, overhead console, and A-Pillar on the driver side. The Antenna has a small bolt and retaining clip on the inside, which will need to be tightened from the inside. Again, don't do what this guy posted above, you'll bend your damn roof and break the antenna.....
