Xm Radio Cutting Out !

i bought a 2010 gmc sierra slt 5.3 litre last november, xm came built in from the factory, well since day one everything sounds great except when it randomly cuts out in the middle of a song for about 2-3 seconds then it comes back, i called my dealer and they have never heard of such a problem, some of you might say its interference...

 

but before this truck, in my old truck i had an after market sirius receiver and in 8 years that thing never cut out once on me, and i've been driving the same stretch of highway for over 6 years for work, now on that same highway this stock xm radio cuts out on me at random times.

 

any idea's anyone ?!

Mine cuts out every time I drive under an overpass, also in certain areas downtown near tall buildings.

Sirius has a better signal than XM. There is one patch of road where I live that the XM cuts out for about a 1\4 mile but the Sirius keeps on trucking. I know back in the day the sirius sats ran in a figure 8 patter giving it a much nicer signal footprint but unsure if it has changed sine they merged.

does it cut out when you hit a bump or does it just randomly cut out. If it cuts out on a bump its a loose connection somewhere. If it happens randomly maybe your antennae is going bad.
