Hi all,

I just purchased an 8120 off ebay and am very excited. I have been watching and waiting for quite a while.

Now that I have the HU on it's way, I need to order accessories to go with my 2008 2500hd and have a few concerns/questions.

I have been looking at Metra and Scosche dash kits. From what I've read Metra has the superior dash kit.

For steering wheel controls I'm looking at the PAC SWI-JACK and the ASWC. Reading up the PAC sounds as though it has more programming options.

I don't listen to satellite, nor do I need an IPOD adapter.

The video bypass is done via a non switching ground, correct?

Do I need an antenna adapter?

Now, for harnesses...

Do I need a speaker adapter/harness for my BOSE speakers?

Should I get a wiring harness for my Silverado, or just solder the wires? In the past I've cheaped out and just soldered the wires.

Is there anything else I need? Can anyone recommend a site where I can get all of these items to minimize shipping costs to Canada?

Thank you kindly,

Sooo, I ordered a PAC SWI-JACK for the steering wheel controls and a PAC OS-4 for ONSTAR(don't use) and BOSE speaker compatibility. The OS-4 comes with the antenna adapter as well.

In total:

DNX-8120: $650 eBay

PAC-OS4, PAC SWI-JACK: $190 eBay

Metra Dash Kit: $18 eBay

= $858.00

I posted asking for help here, avsforum, and the Kenwood forum. And not one reply! It's only been a day, but still!

Hope this helps someone.
