Flowmaster Exhaust

I am looking into purchasing a flowmaster kit for my truck, only problem is I have yet to find one that says it will fit a regular cab long bed. Now i cant see why it wouldnt fit, i would think that all the hangers are in the same place on the frame, and the only issue i could see is maybe being a little too long or too short in which i case i could make it work. Any one know any more about this?

Just go to a quality muffler shop and have them install a flowmaster muffler and build the rest of the system. That's what I had done. I just said I want a 3" single side exit system with a Flowmaster 50 series muffler. It was about half the price of a flowmaster "system." Plus it's custom built so you don't have to worry about fitment issues.

Agreed, my exhaust shop grabbed 2 flowmaster 40's and made me up a dual exhaust out the sides. Really knowledgeable guys, and they even let me check it out on the lift. It looks and sounds perfect.

got a quote for a single FM 40 series single muffler with dual pipes with tips, all stainless for $750, custom built pipes. Installed

don't know if this a good price or not

If you go the custom route make sure they use stainless. my buddies rusted out after 3 years because the shop didn't. he was happy when he got them because it was cheap but now he needs a new system. that has nothing to do with the flowmaster mufflers, just custom shops with cheap prices. I'd get the corsa sports if it was me. I just installed them on my 2010 and reallly like them.

Seems like a fair price if it is all stainless. My corsa sports, all stainless, was $805 shipped to the door.

I'm a big fan of Corsa. The dB kit I have on my truck was under $600 and everything fit absolutely perfect. Much easier to install than the FM kit I had on my '03 that required modification of the hangers to keep the pipe off the driveshaft. dB makes their kit for just about every wheelbase as well.

$100 got me a a flowmaster force 10 installed. I love the sound, no drone when towing and it's good and loud just the way I like it. May not be for everyone but I like it a lot.

Got the muffler installed they did a great job. it looks great, however it is a love hate relationship. should neve have done the mod. the muffler is too loud for my liking.

the truck sounds between cool exhaust to a hole in the muffler, trust me there are no leaks.

tomorrow i am going to put the stock back on only concern i have now is they need to weld in a small spool piece to make up the lenght.

wonder how long that will last in the north east, they say they dont use stainless?

Agree! I had a custom exhaust built, flowmaster 40 with dual outlets with 2.5 inch pipe out each side behind wheels. $230.00!
