Service Airbag Light

Very common problem. They even made a new part number for it. What the scanner is telling you is the front crash sensor on the passenger side is most likely junk. My wife's 05 Suburban had the drivers side go in July last year then the passenger side went out in December of last year. It's easy to do. Just unplug the air bag fuse under the hood (SRS it may be called) get under the car then look for the tell tale yellow plug going to a sensor about an inch and a half by an inch and a half square. They are on a cross member near the radiator about two feet apart or so. You want the passenger side. Pull the orange retainer plug, undo the yellow plug, and it takes one bolt to get out. I think it's a 10mm socket head. The part number is 10370149 . (Double check that please). Reinstall everything, plug fuse in and turn ignition to on. The air bag light will flash 7 times, then go off. Good Luck! (NOTE! your air bags will NOT deploy until you fix the problem, when the light is on the system is disabled)
