Question For You Guys With A Gmt-900 Crew Cab.

I have an 08 Sierra Crew Cab and just noticed tonight that the window buttons on the rear doors don't light up for me like the ones on the front doors do, all the buttons look the same but the little white square on both rear doors does not light up. I was wondering if this is just how it is or if they are suppose to light up and mine need to be fixed. Thanks I just don't want to make the trip to the dealer for them to say that it is normal. I tried locking and unlocking the windows and that didn't make a difference.

Mine do not light up. Never have since new. My wife's Acadia buttons do not light up either.

Make sure the window lock feature on your drivers side door is not activated. If it is activated they will not light up.

Or at least thats how it was on my Ford Fusion, I would imagine it would be the same on these trucks.

only the 07 model light up

They also light up on 2006 models. So GM even eliminated the little button lights as a nickel and dime cost cutting measure in 2008?

This is how it was on my charger also, i tried to lock and unlock the windows and it didn't make a difference.

Since I have never sat in the back I have no idea if they light up. Sounds like the don't. I'll check tonight to make sure and post back.

dad had a 05 crew cab, and the backs lit up. i guess they had to OMIT the bulbs, as they were #1 a fire hazard, #2 expensive to install, especially with all that wire, and #3 they are trying to cut costs on the nbs trucks because they spent all of their money on the heavy-duty rear bumpers.

by the way, the buttons on my 07 nbs extended cab light up in the back. i know that was not the question, but i felt like adding relevant information along with my bs :sigh:

Nope. No lights on rear window switches. There are not even little "light windows" on the rear switches like the front ones. One less thing to stop working right? :sigh:
