how do you get it out?? does the trim come off easy?? there is no cup holder, its a 2001. just adding a booster because the radio reception blows. now i think of it after 10 years.

Does your or did your truck have a video system that plays sound through the radio? If yes, there is a switch, possibly under the dash by the driver's knees that switches off most but not all of the radio station audio. My 2000 Suburban had that. I thought I had terrible radio reception until I found the switch and put it on the radio position, not the video position. That fixed everything.

the booster didn't fit, the plug was too big for my radio. it didn't give a choice when buying. oh well, no big deal for $10.

You need the GM antenna adapter. Any car audio place will have it for a few bucks.
