Nbs Window Tint And Noise

Hello..1st post long time reader.i brought my 08 xtnd cab 4x4 silverado 2 the stealer for a window noise and other issues. I have tint on the windows and they said it is the cause of the loud wind noise as i have the windows down 4 inches it goes away if i go past 1/2 way down. I was wondering if anyone else has tint and it caused any loud pitch noises in the nsb silverado, mine is xtra cab but info is apprciated.. Thanks Joe

I tend to agree..They are very hard on warranty coverage there. said it was causing the window noise as the motor goes down also mentioned the tsb for lube and he was like um yeah but the tint os causing it also. I will continue try and sww how it goes. Thanks 4 the reply!!!

Im not exactly following you here, is it a wind noise when you have the window open and are driving or a noise as you raise and lower the windows?

both...they greased the mechanisms per tsb..but they blame all on the tint... the window ds and ps both make a loud high pitch squeal when driving that is my main consern which the dealer says they cany fix --tint is the culprit..i have owned many cars /trucks all tinted never had the issue...does anyone else have noise with or without tint with windows open? thanks

Check your tint and see if it is still stuck at the edge of the window or if it has come off a bit, if it is off a bit it will flap in the wind and have kind of a kazoo sound to it

it is a kazoo noise exactly..i will recheck dealer has the truck still..last i looked was still on tight..thanks
