Brake Service Time!

Hey Guys, I need alittle help on this. It's about that time to change my brakes on a '03 Silverado 5.3L. I know I should go with OEM brakes/rotors but I'm not sure what OEM brakes capacity really is. I use my truck to tow, off road in the mountains, and drive to work. I need some advise and help to decide what brakes out there are best for my use? I also need recommendations on "electronic brake assits?"

If you tow a lot I would get some Hawk or EBC pads.

 

If you have problems with warped rotors or use your brakes a lot I would up grade to slotted rotors. Like EBC or Powerslot.

do yourself a favor and stay away from GM rotors and pads. hawk, napa, federal, etc. all good brands. EBC powerslot are gonna be pricey, but great performing
