Non-amped Infinity Speakers?

I am wondering if anyone has any experiance with Infinity Kappa speakers? I would like to install these Infinity Kappa 63.9i in the front and these Infinity Kappa 52.9i in the back. I am at 20 watts RMS 50 Peak per channel. Any other good options out there? I want a clean full all around sound without using an amp.

I you want a good sound without having an amp and spend too much money, try the clarion pro series. You can regularly find them with big discount because Clarion is always changing the models. Had them install in my last car and it worth the price !

I checked out these Clarion SRQ1331R 5.25 and nothing but good reviews. Not a lot of reviews but all were 5 Star Reviews. I can Pick them up for $42.36 on amazon w/free shipping. I can try these out in the back doors and see how they work. Cheap enough for a test run.

I had the older version kappas in my 2001. 4 6.5s, 2 6x9s, and 2 10" kappa perfects and they sounded awesome. Then again I was running 2 amps. If you're not going to run amps and those Clarions don't work out look into Infiniti's reference series which should save you some money. As far as Infiniti goes unless they changed its Reference series > Kappas > Kappa Perfects. As a general rule you'll get the best sound putting any after market system through an amp but if you don't crank them often and can get away with not amping them then by all means go for it.

I have the infinity kappa 62.9i in the front and rear, and you will need an amp. I put them in mine and dont like the sound, they are under powered. I dont want to change my factory head unit, so I'm just gonna pick up a small 4ch amp and mount it behind or under the rear seat and bedone with it.

i put some kappa in the front replace Bose speakers sound a whole a lot better.

That's good to know. Even though I am sure my aftermarket HU is pushing double the factory. It may not be worth it.

i put some kappa in the front replace Bose speakers sound a whole a lot better.

Yeah, I heard the Bose pushed a lot of power so I think I am going to have to pass on the Infinity speakers.

I will be adding Inifinity Kappa 60.9 cs in the front and rear of my 2009 Sierra Denali. I call crutchfield and they told me everything I needed and I will be running the Infinity Ref. 475a amp with my new speakers. Im going to do my best to provide a step by step for people while im doing the install.

I can't/wouldn't recomend these speakers to anyone. I installed them this afternoon and while they are a little better than the factory speakers I will be looking for new ones soon. With my aftermarket Stereo which pushes about 20 watts RMS and will turn up to level 50, they sound like crap at about level 35+

I just installed the Infinity Reference Speakers and I dont know if its just the low wattage of the stock system but with the power to the subs completly turned off there is absolutly NO BASS in these Infinity's! I used the speaker baffels and everything and while the sound quality is load and clear...the stockers had way more bass with the trucks bass settings. However I put in a PAC LC-1 controller and mounted it in reaching distance so I contol how much bass I want at all times

When I was looking for speakers, I was ready to buy these Infinitys. They don't have a lot of bass, but I was going to get a sub too. I was told these are VERY good speakers and are great if you are getting subs, or don't want a lot of bass.

I find my Infinity Kappa's to have plenty of bass but I do have them hooked up to an Infinity 437a amp and have all the setting properly adjusted to my liking.
