Another Electrical Problem... Help

Okay, so i had a System in my 99 Sierra regular car. Sub, amps for the speakers and sub, pioneer cd player so on and so forth. The speaker amp died, and I'm over the whole stereo thing so I just went and bought a new harness for the radio and rewired it all so now all I have is the deck and speakers, everything else is unhooked and gone. Now when I drive and the lights are not on, my gear indicator flickers. When the lights are on wether I put them on manually or it gets dark, this stops. I got to work when the suns just going up and get home in the evening, and when the truck is shut off in the twilight hours the parking lights do not shut off all the way and the truck just keeps dinging. Is this just coincidence and the sensor is bad? Because i cant find anything that i would have touched doing the radio. and i have had the dash apart a million times before. Sorry i rambled, I just wanted to include all the details. thanks for reading any help is appreciated.

O yeah I am sure everyone knows this but I have the digital Gear indicator/trip meter/odometer thing. Its not a bulb which is what makes me think it has to do with the lights its not a flickering bulb
