2008 Tahoe Ls Hesitating Engine

My 2008 Tahoe LS 5.3 has a problem. When hitting full throttle, the engine hesitates. It was worse when the tank was 1/4 full. Today I fueled the car and the problem decreased, while still persisting. What could be happening? Is the fuel filter dirty, or is it something more complicated. Your feedback is greatly apprecitated! I am new to this forum.

Research the term "torque management"

+1^ the only way to get rid of it is a custom tune

Thanks for the info. They only problem is that this hesitation (Torque Management) did appear just by lightly touching the accelerator while going uphill. Should I go to the dealer and ask for a complete reprograming?

they won't remove torque management, i have 100% torque management and my truck(04) does the same thing.....its there to save the drivetrain

Could it be that the torque management in my truck went aiwire? At one point the truck was barely drivable. I was about to get stranded. I was only until if fueled the car, that the hesitation problem got better. This makes no sense to me

If you have warranty left, take it to the dealer and have them look at it. Sounds more like a fuel delivery problem. No warranty? Check fuel pressure reading. Check for any codes being set.

If your description is correct that it is affected by fuel level, then TM is not your problem. If it is TM then it would be consistent across the board no matter what your fuel level is

I am out of warranty with this truck. My wife took it to the dealership in order to get it scanned. They were not able to find anything! I am puzzeled!

Hesitation issues can be caused by multiple things. Items to check

Quality of fuel - is there water in the fuel. You said it got better after you filled up, so that means that there might be water/junk in the tank that the pump is picking up

Dirty fuel filter - when was the last time it was replaced?

Tune up - could be a fouled plug.

Or could be a combo of the above suggestions.
