Ignition Coils

my truck threw a code for #3 cylinder misfire due to a bad coil the other day, i told parts guy to order one up assuming he would order the delphi or ac delco but he ordered a friggin mitsubishi coil...?????

says it will be okay, im not too happy bout this. but he insisted it would be okay, should i just use it or should i just order the RIGHT one....? anybody?

god i read about this awhile ago...i want to say they can be used the same but the mitstabitch coil is shaped different then the delphi one...idk if it were me i'd want my coils all the same brand and shape

piss me off...he is obviously not a chevy guy. any chevy guy would order the delphi or ac delco part over a god damn mitsubishi. i think i might try it unless someone objects?? i have another question anybody try the MSD coil packs? it says you will get better throttle responce. 600 bucks on summitracing for all 8

My truck uses Mitsubishi type coils also, I'd much rather have a Mitsubishi type coil than an ac delco style one. They last longer and provide a hotter spark. I don't fall for the msd ones. These Mitsubishi ones put out a hell of a spark as it is. Search, many of the ls1 guys actually switch from the ac delco to the Mitsubishi to get a hotter spark for cheap.

i was actually on ls1tech and seen that...just afraid of the whole "mitsubishi" name...now im gonna have one that looks different from the rest too...o well.

mitsubishi(melco) is the style, they're still made by acdelco and if you buy acdelco, they'll still all look the same. This is the one I'd get if I was getting one... Here.
