Ignition Switch Has No "acc" Position

I recently bought this 03 Silverado 1500 and have the fob and what looks like the factory key but it will not turn back into what should be the accessory position. I've never had a truck or car not have "ACC" and the door locks work with the key so I'm puzzled; any thoughts?

GM did away with the ACC position. It does not have a steering wheel lock either.

Hell, some vehicles are doing away with keys. All you need is a FOB in your pocket, then push a stupid button. Seems like we are going backwards. Might as well put the button on the floor like the Model T Fords.

Fobs are actually way cool. On a vette you walk up and it unlocks when you touch the door pad. Also locks when you walk away. On a locrosse you have ho tap the lock pad to lock it. No key on the trunk either.

Thanks for the replies; I never thought about it being forward. I'm showing my age but it was always counter clockwise in my other trucks.

Thanks again.
