I just went to dyno day down at FLP in Naperville and three Lightning's were dyno'ing again too.

Tops betwen the three was Jeff (a friend)....417rwhp and 506rwtq!!

I also got a new best...395.2rwhp and 384rwtq.

I guess the only solace I take from this is that those Lightning's have to push around 4,800lbs and I only have to push 3,400.  My power is also made all Naturally Aspirated and done out of a measly 346 cubic inches.

I'm telling ya, after hearing those Eaton's wind up, especially the one that was running 3 lbs more than Eaton recommends, was quite impressive.

Buy a Ford.  It is OK to feel great in a truck...you must go to the Ford dealer now!   :chevy:

If you want a current gen L you better hurry.  The next L won't be out until 2005.

Yep I know what you mean there "Gun".  I almost cry every time I climb UP into my P.O.S. F250 and fire up that rumbling 6.8L V10 piece of trash!  :chevy:

As an added plus-I sure don't miss that PITA cold-start knock that my old 5.3L had.  I tried to ignore it but it did get on my nerves  !

I've enjoyed every GM truck I've owned but for now I'm having a blast with my SuperDuty!  I know I'll own another Chevy pickup in the future but right now this V10 is great :) !  Tows great and has more than enough power for me. :thumb:

I'll help you out,I'll let you talk to my dad who has been driving Fords since the 50's.He and my grand father had A fit when I purchased my first Chevy in '91.The other day he used my truck to tow his 33' RV up to north Louisiana because his Super Duty was in the shop getting the exhaust manifold changed out for the 2nd time. When he returned he started shoping for a new Chevy, said my truck will out pull his V-10 super duty any day and get better mileage to boot. :thumb:

Was this before or after you bought several hundred $$ worth or so of performance mods for it??  :chevy:  :)

Say, what kind of mileage are you getting on average?  You have the 6.0L right?  Did your exhaust etc help much with that?
