A little long...sorry:) Anyway, I purchased an 08 Acadia SLT2 59K last week form a private seller. So far, I have been less than impressed. I drove it 1200 miles home, and from the get go something wasnt right. Initally we got a stabilitrac light and service stabilitrac and traction control on the DIC. So we pulled into dealer within about 15 minutes of lights. They hook up the Tech 2 scan machine...and say there are 11 codes...but all of them point to a dead battery at some point...low voltage etc. I contacted the previous owner...he says that they had a dead battery a few months ago and had to have it jumped off. So the tech cleared the codes and said he doesnt really know why the stabilitrac/traction control came on...perhaps my wife hit a pothole. I didnt like that diagnosis(They didnt charge us anything).

Anyway, we left out. Not 10 mintes later the lights came back, but this time the check engine light came on as well as stabilitrac/traction control. So we pull into another dealer a couple of hours later, and they say it is oil in the intake causing the problem. P0101 code(MAF). They didnt have a MAF sensor...so they said they would clean it off and should be ok. I was skeptical, but they said they would drive it and make sure. An hour later they were done, and I recieved an assurance of "The tech said hes 90% sure this will fix everything, including the stabilitrac(Plua a bill of $250). We leave out..and 15 minutes later...same thing. Upon hard accelleration(Getting on freeway) car shutters...and all light up again. I call back dealer, by this time it is 5:37 and they explain they close at 5:30 but please come back tomorrow.

We ponder this for a while and decide that it would be best to go home...so we head for home. Vehicle drives good while at constant speed...just shifts like crap...both up and down. Feels like slipping when acceleration and hard shifts when slowing down. I managed to find a dealer in WV who had a MAF($120), as this code was still being thrown(Stopped at autozone) So they put it in for me. Still no change.

Now I get down here and in addition to the MAF...I got a MAP code P0106. I checked it...cleaned it out. But same same after driving. I saw oil in MAP hole behind throttle plate. Shrugg...I am at a loss...have appt with dealer on Tuesday. Any suggestions? Thanks!
