Hey guys, new to the site. just dropping in to say hello. I also has a question. I have owned a stock 2004 silverado crew cab z71, loaded which was my favorite and best truck i have ever own, but lost it to a accident and insurance claimed it as totaled and now im in a 04 silverado ext cab 2wd with a K&N CAI, Super Chips, Super 44 Flowmasters and some HID's. I have been throwing around the idea of getting one of the gorgeous SS or getting a nbss Z71. I cant decide if i want the 4wd back or stick it out with a awd SS. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

The question I'd ask is how do you use your truck and decide from there. Personally, I like the idea of selectable 4x4. Also, since your considering the SS, you should also consider the 6.2L.

Welcome to the site, I second the selectable 4x4 (if you need or want something more then 2WD) and a newer truck with the 6.2L would be nice.

Well i live in northwest oklahoma and about to move to northeast oklahoma to Stillwater,OK. I just do city and highway driving and rarely dirt roads. I just like knowing that if i have 4wd if i go off the road if theres a lot of snow or ice on the road and i need to get somewhere. I did okay with this last snow we got around here thanks to the nitto terra grapplers in my ext cab. A SS would be awesome to have since they look good and can run

I say forget the fulltime awd, uses more gas and more of a headache/expensive when stuff goes wrong.
