06 Sliverado Lift Kit Question

Im very new to the forum, and have a couple of questions that hopefully can be answered. I will be honest, and I am fairly ignorant when it comes to anything over a leveling kit. I really didnt want anything bigger than that, but i have a friend who is selling his 6" kit off of his truck for a deal that i couldnt help but to consider it. My first question is how extensive would it to remove such a kit off a truck. Also is it possible to make a 6" to 4" kit? I dont really want that big of a kit, and 4" would be perfect in my book. Any help would be highly appreciated!

Also would 3" torsion keys in the front, and 2" blocks in the back be a better alternative overall. I know the kits are cheap, and I have heard of people being able to tuck 35's on this body style. Thanks again

No, its not possible to alter a 6 inch lift to 4 inchs that I know of. You might be able to tuck 35s with keys and blocks, but thats gonna put some stress on the front end. Also just about guarantee 35s would rub with that set up. Just depends on the offset of the wheels.

Thanks for your help! I probalby wont get the kit then. Im going to be using stock 17's, I have researched a lot of people using the same wheels with the RC leveling kit and being able to tuck 35/12.5/17's by just trimming the valance and a bolt in the fender wheel.

just for question, how much is your buddy wanting for the lift? my plan for my 06' is to use a 1" wheel spacer with 16" craigers i just ordered from summit rollin 35's and just crank my torsions up a little bit (i have the 2.5" leveling kit but am only using 1.5") and adding a 1.5" BL. i really like the big tires and minimal lift look myself. but if your buddy is sellin the 6'er cheap enough hell id be inclined to take it off his hands
