To Chip Or Not To Chip ! That Is The Question

I have a 99 Z71 4X4 Extended cab Silverado with the 5.3 engine, I was wondering eveyones thoughts on using a Performance programer or buying the performance chip would realy help with gas mileage?

They don't use performance chips anymore, now its programs or custom tunes.

well i have the same truck as you except a 2001, and i have a superchips handheld and after 3 weeks of having it on the fuel econ. tune, i actually notice 1-2 MPG better from my own calculations, but i run it on the 87 or 93 tunes depending on gas prices
