Wow nice reaction time and 1/4 time. I had no idea a 6.2 would run a 14.4.

Do you have a tune? Was is hooking up good?

the truck is bone stock. i tried to leave soft to limit spinning and then put the hammer down. .650 lights are a little late there -.500 is perfect

Great ET. I thought the MPH would be more in the 94-95 range though. Either way shes pulling hard. Just curious do you run 91 octane?

Ha you just explained it. So you were hitting the 100 mph limiter before the stripe, thats awesome. I hope I can get mine to the track next Friday night.

yes 91 octane. i really like this truck over my 07 - the brakes are twice as good and i really like the 6 speed. my 07 5.3 got 17 commuting and this one is getting 14. btw my 07 ran 15.30's.

Great times! Do you think if you had a four wheel drive truck you could have pushed it harder or do you think the weight would have offset the better traction? Wish i could run mine on a track, but no track around here

Thats awesome times I have 4x4 with max towing package I have a tuner and cold air intake and exhaust and ran 14.4 and yes without the tuner to shut off the limiter it will hit the shutdown!!! Great times didn't know they made a 2wd I bet that thing will move. I want to burst the bubble on those damn ecoboost trucks I need to find one at the track!!!!

Saw some track times of an eco-boost and it was 14.7 1/4-mile time and that was stock. :shakehead:

I think my 4x4 would run that stock because with the mods I was having trction problems. I would like to see everyday drivers running them to see what they really do down here in Louisiana where it gets hot and humid

Reaction times are horrible, but have nothing to do with your total elapsed time. They only count when bracket racing/heads up. Not TNT's.

Your short times - 60 foots - are decent. They are similar to what my old 1990 Mustang 5.0 would do stock. Every tenth lost in the short time equals to .2-.3 on the big end as you can see in your time slips.

What's happening is your loosing top end speed. Your driving a brick (aerodynamics come into play) with a vehicle that is designed to perform at low rpm's. Lots of torque getting you off the line, but leaving something to be desired on the top end because your running out of steam on the big end.

reaction times are not horrible on the new systems it would read .159 and .147 but i wasnt there to cut lights- i was more worried about the truck spinning. yes it is commom knowledge that the et clocks dont start until you break your second beam. on the 60 foots your are correct, a little better 60 foot goes a long way towards a better et. the mph is off because the truck was shutting down before the stripe due to the factory's mph cutoff.

i guess what this all comes down to is so far i'm pretty happy with the new truck. it tows very well and runs good. after owning a 07 with the 5.3afm motor this truck has renewed my faith in gm
