Fuel Mileage

Have a 2011 5.3 Silverado 4x4 is anyone averageing better than 15 mpg on DIC display,2500 miles on truck.Do these trucks change after some miles on them.

Back in '07 when mine was spankin' new, I read just shy of 19 mpg on the display. These days, 14.2 is max.

Same here my 07 would get 17 to 19 all day when new. Now at 70k I get 15 to 17. 15.5 more often than not. I have added cooper zeon tires other than that still stock.

Thats terrible in my book. My GMT-800 with 315's and 4.10 gears got 15-18mpg consistently and my new 6.2L gets 15-18mpg stock.

Ya i wonder $ difference to identical truck with 6.2 and you have from 315 hp 5.3 to 406 hp 6.2 ,and same mileage.
