one would think that nut on the worm gear is placed there for a reason, i.e. in an accident the person could slide under the seatbelt and into the dash, breaking legs, pelvis and who knows what else as the airbag deploys and they slide under it.

I only recline seats when I'm stopped to rest or whatever. I'd never allow a passenger to recline their seat or my biggest pet peeve, put their feet on the dash. I made a friend's daughter (whose like 19 or 20, so it's not some kid) cry last summer when I explained what could happen to her in an accident being like that. :sigh:

I understand there should be a limit to how much you should recline your seat while moving but if you need to rest in your truck for a bit, the extra recline makes a world of difference.

anyone puts their feet on my dash is gonna get slapped upside the head.. caught my wife using her feet to push open the door instead of pushing it out with her hand, which results in her having to lean out to open the door one day, She got a good ole fashion pat on the ass for that..... She's also received a good talking too about leaning her weight on the door while exiting the truck, that is why there are "oh shite" handles, USE THEM....

:sigh:
