GM fixing "knockers"??? TXDOC???

An "established" (300 posts) member over at PUTC is posting that yesterday his dealer told him of a new TSB concerning the 5.3 and 6.0 engine knock problem.  I know my '02 is starting to knock at cold startup and this kinda caught my eye.  He states that 6.0 engines will be replaced with NEW engines while 5.3 engines will get new pistons only.  He does not have the TSB number.  So I thought somebody here might have it like TXDOC who seems to have his finger on alot of official information .

Anyway, not meaning to stir things up on this knocking business but if GM is fixing these, then maybe damage IS actually being done to our engines.  That would be a sea change for GM to admit this and thus I am skeptical.

Nonstop, he did not specifically mention the excellent 4.8 but all of the TSB's I have ever seen regarding this issue included the 4.8L engine.  Sooo, I would "assume" it would cover this engine as well (if it indeed even exists).  I am not getting my hopes up, but rather posted this so that maybe some of the knowledgable members here could research more fully.
