30,000 Mile Service

My truck is 4 years old and at 32,000 right now and due for service. So far, I've only ever done the "oil and lube" at my dealer.

 

Is there anything in particular that you guys would recommend for a truck at this age and mileage?

Air filter, if you haven't done one.

 

Tire rotations?

 

Wheel alignment check and adjust if necessary.

 

That's it. Other than that, run it.

Oh sorry, forgot to mention that I'd had the regular tire rotations and alignments.

 

For the air filter, is that a total replacement of the paper filter?

Not sure how else you can replace it other than the complete filter.

clean the MAF and TB, that you can do your self. a can of Sea Foam in your gas tank..

Dealership recommended the T-Case and Rear Diff too ,,,

Brake fluid flush/fill...more a time thing than a mileage thing.

Didn't get a chance to shedule service last week but I will this week.

 

Looks like I should be getting regular oil/lube, T-Case, Rear Differential, and Brake Fluid serviced by the dealer.

 

I will try the Sea Foam stuff on my own for the MAF and TB. (Mass Air Flow and Throttle Body I think?)

 

For the air filter...would it be easy enough to just order a new paper filter myself from GM-Parts Direct and replace the old one? I know it only takes about a minute to access the air filter.

 

 

EDIT: By the way, do you guys know about how much extra the T-Case, Rear Differential, and Brake System Flush/Fill will cost?

Or, make a trip to the local auto parts store and pick one up there.
